About Kirk
During the COVID‑19 pandemic, emergency departments saw an unprecedented surge of patients experiencing significant physical symptoms. Even when serious medical conditions were ruled out, it became clear that many individuals were struggling with underlying emotional and psychological stress. Simple, open‑ended conversations often revealed the depth of these concerns. After nearly 15 years in emergency medicine, critical care, and behavioral health nursing, these experiences strengthened my commitment to transition into an advanced practice role in psychiatry.
My clinical approach is grounded in the belief that mental wellness is best supported through a thoughtful balance of medication management, therapy, nutrition, and physical activity. This holistic, patient‑centered philosophy aligns with the psychiatric recovery model and emphasizes collaborative, interdisciplinary care. I value working closely with each patient to develop a plan that supports meaningful, sustainable progress.
A healthy mind supports a healthy body, and a healthy body strengthens the mind. My goal is to help patients build both as they move toward improved well‑being.
